That’s up for debate, Mark.
As an aside, for clarity and due to my own paranoia of visual miscommunication, I want to point out that the doors in panels 2 and 3 are not the same door, the shading/illumination is no accident. The door in panel 2 opens into the laundry room, and the illuminated door in panel 3 is just a closet.
*sniff sniff*
Pe-ew, something reeks of social justice down there.
Somehow I get the feeling mark and beth are going to have a heart to heart in the next page.
At least I hope, don’t want her to go into a proper full on meltdown. He does have a right to live where he wants to after all.
Maaarrrrrk when someone has legit good reason to be upset by you you do NOT shame them for it jesus christ you’re just PROVING why you’re terrible
How is his moving into town a ‘legit good reason’ for Beth to have a meltdown? What, he’s not allowed to live in the same town as her, where he may or may not have grown up and lived all his life? At least wait for this to play out before you start vilifying the guy.
Have you been reading the same comic as me
Cuz since his introduction his very presence, nay, his NAME, triggers the hell out of her. He did a very bad thing that she hasn’t gotten over, and she’s not obligated to get over it. If Mark knows he upsets her this much then it is VERY BAD FORM for him to be shaming her like this.
He vilified himself when he abandoned Mary and hurt Beth. Sure, he wants to make amends, but he can’t expect it to happen without a LOT of work and a LOT MORE tact on his part.
